The City of Tamarac is seeking a Plumbing Inspector/Plans Examiner Temporary/Will-Call. The Plumbing Inspector/Plans Examiner under regular supervision, inspects new and existing buildings and structures to enforce conformance to appropriate building codes and approved plans, specifications and standards. Observes conditions and issues notices for corrections to persons responsible for conformance to the Florida Building Code and City Codes. Examines plans submitted for permits to determine conformity with codes and regulations. Requires high school diploma or GED, a minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Plumbing Inspector/Plans Examiner, and must be certified by the State of Florida and the Broward County Board of Rules and Appeals as a Plumbing Inspector/Plans Examiner. Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License.
Note: Required certifications must be kept current to continue employment in position.

GFA International, Inc. is seeking FULL TIME or PART TIME Inspectors and Plan Reviewers in its Fort Myers/Naples and Sarasota/Manatee areas of Florida.
Candidates must possess at least one of the following:
Building Code Administrator
1 & 2 Family Dwelling Inspector and/or Plans SFP
Standard Inspector (Building, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing)
Standard Plans Examiner (Building, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing)
Specific job responsibilities are based on the applicants experience and certifications.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
· Licensed in the State of Florida to perform Plan Review and Inspections
· Licensed by the State of Florida FS 468 as a Building Code Administrator
· Experience performing building and/or MEP inspections
· Experience performing building and/or MEP plan review
· High School diploma or equivalent education; Associates or Bachelors degree preferred
· Valid State Drivers License
· Good written and verbal communication skills including legible handwriting
· Candidates must be team players and work well with others.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
· Multi-trade certifications are a plus
· Licensed by the State of Florida FS 633 as a fire inspector and/or plans examiner
The hours for this position will vary based on our clients’ needs (normal construction hours can be expected), the applicants experience and qualification.
